Packaging & Production Designer
Reports To: Sr. Brand Manager
Hours: 6:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is growing, with new product innovation, packaging development, and a broader brand evolution underway. We are hiring a Packaging & Production Designer to own packaging design, production artwork, and print execution, plus creative support across digital, e-commerce, and marketing as priorities require.
This is a hands‑on execution role. You will take creative direction from our Senior Designer and independently own your assigned packaging, artwork, and production workstreams.
PACKAGING & PRODUCTION (PRIMARY FOCUS)
- Develop packaging artwork and design solutions for new product innovation, line extensions, renovations, and brand refresh initiatives.
- Translate creative direction into polished, production‑ready packaging artwork.
- Work across primary and secondary packaging, including cartons, labels, tubes, bottles, jars, sleeves, and other skincare formats.
- Build and manipulate packaging dielines.
- Prepare mechanical files and final artwork for contract manufacturers, printers, and packaging vendors.
- Understand and manage layered print files and production specifications.
- Work with specialty print processes such as spot colors, white /opaque layers, varnishes, foils, embossing, debossing, and other finishes.
- Ensure proper bleeds, trim areas, safe zones, color specifications, image resolution, fonts, linked assets, and other technical requirements.
- Review printer proofs and artwork revisions.
- Identify and resolve potential production issues before artwork is released.
- Communicate directly with printers, packaging suppliers, and contract manufacturers as needed.
- Maintain organized, accurate, version‑controlled production files.
- Ensure final artwork reflects approved creative direction and technical specifications.
- Help establish scalable packaging artwork systems as the brand portfolio grows.
BRAND & CREATIVE SUPPORT
Packaging is the primary focus. This role also contributes to the broader brand ecosystem as business priorities require:
- Innovation concept development, brand refresh initiatives, and product launch materials
- Brand, sales, and retailer presentations; product education materials
- Campaign assets and marketing collateral
- E-commerce creative, including Amazon A+ Content and Product Detail Page (PDP) assets
- Website graphics, landing pages, campaign landers, and digital banners
- Social and paid media assets
- Photography cleanup and retouching; 3D product and packaging concepts
You should be comfortable moving between physical packaging and digital brand experiences while maintaining visual consistency across consumer touchpoints.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Adobe Creative Suite advanced proficiency required in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Packaging & Print Production strong working knowledge of:
- Packaging dielines, mechanical artwork, and prepress
- Print specifications, print layers, and printer proofs
- CMYK, spot colors, and Pantone/color matching
- Bleeds and trim; white/opaque layers
- Specialty finishes: foils, varnishes, embossing/debossing
- Packaging substrates and production considerations
- Contract manufacturer artwork requirements
Digital & Visualization
- Figma preferred, not required
- Experience designing for websites and landing pages
- Experience with Amazon A+ content and PDPs preferred
- Understanding of digital asset specifications and e-commerce design
- 3D product/packaging visualization experience is a plus
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of professional design experience.
- Significant experience with packaging design and production.
- Experience in CPG, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, personal care, wellness, or a related consumer product category strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience taking packaging from concept through final production.
- Experience working directly with printers, packaging vendors, and/or contract manufacturers.
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign skills.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating real‑world packaging work and production execution.
- Experience supporting both physical and digital brand touchpoints.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
