Home Centre Bangalore is seeking a Packaging Designer with 3-5 years of experience to create packaging for Soft Furnishing category, from everyday packaging to festive and gifting projects. The role blends design thinking with hands-on artwork execution to elevate customer experience.

The ideal candidate will work on dielines, print-ready artwork, and collaborate with buyers, product designers and printers to develop packaging concepts and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of graphic/packaging design experience.
• Strong proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Good understanding of layout, typography, colour and visual hierarchy.
• Knowledge of packaging formats and production constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned packaging projects from brief to final artwork approval, ensuring accuracy and design quality.
• Create and adapt packaging designs across SKUs, formats and seasonal programs.
• Develop new packaging ideas and improvement projects across design, functionality, material and efficiency.
• Work on dielines, print-ready artwork and 3D mockups, and review proofs and samples before bulk production.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Product Designers and Printers to develop packaging artworks.
• Explore packaging trends and new visual directions to bring fresh ideas to the category.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Packaging Designer to create packaging for Homecentre's Soft Furnishing category - from everyday packaging to festive, gifting and special projects. The role combines design thinking and hands-on artwork execution, with opportunities to explore new packaging ideas, formats and visual directions that improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own assigned packaging projects from brief to final artwork approval, ensuring accuracy and design quality.

• Create and adapt packaging designs across SKUs, formats and seasonal/festive programs.

• Develop new packaging ideas and improvement projects across design, functionality, material and efficiency.

• Work on dielines, print-ready artwork and 3D mockups, and review digital proofs and physical samples before bulk production.

• Collaborate with Category Buyers, Product Designers and Printers to develop and close packaging artworks.

• Explore packaging trends, competitor designs and new visual directions to bring fresh ideas to the category.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in graphic/packaging design.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and AI tools.

• Good understanding of layout, typography, colour and visual hierarchy. • Working knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, finishes and production constraints.

• Knowledge of packaging formats such as boxes, U-cards, stickers, tags, sleeves, labels, etc. will be a plus.

• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
