Job summary

QuadGen in India is seeking a skilled OSP Drafter to design and plan FTTx networks, including aerial and buried drops, backhaul, feeder and distribution layouts, and related construction drawings.

You will work with ARAMIS, AutoCAD, SpatialNET and IRIS to generate maps, schematics and cut-outs, review field surveys, and ensure timely, accurate delivery while adapting to project needs.

Shift includes night and odd hours as required; flexibility and self-starting attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in ECE/EEE/EIC/ME/CE with relevant telecom design exposure.
• Hands-on experience with ARAMIS-DT, AutoCAD, SpatialNET and IRIS tools.
• Knowledge of backhaul, feeder and distribution networks and permit layouts.

Responsibilities

• Develop OSP planning/design docs, plans and specifications.
• Design FTTx network architecture (aerial/buried) and plan OSP networks for deployment.
• Plan/design/drafting/scoping/permitting/construction drawings for backhaul, feeder, and BAU projects.
• Validate routes and addresses for Living and commercial units within the distribution area.
• Verify RoW and UE by researching state govt plats information.
• Create high-quality construction drawings in ARAMIS, AutoCAD, SpatialNET, and IRIS.
• Handle tools like AOTX, MIC, OCALC, IQGEO, Lode data, IKE Office.
• Review field survey notes and convert them into final designs.
• Meet project goals, maintain quality, and support customer deployments.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Development of OSP planning/design documentation, plans and specification assembly.
• Person will be responsible for the Design of FTTx network architecture (Aerial & Buried) and OSP Network planning to stimulate end to end fiber connectivity, delivery, and construction to Living & commercial units(SFUs, MDU, MTUs etc.).
• Person will also be responsible for Planning/Design/ Drafting/scoping/ Tasking/Permitting & Construction drawing Creation of backhaul, feeder, distribution and BAU Projects.
• Role involves checking, verifying and validating the feasibility of route, address of all the Living & commercial Units (LU) under the respective Distribution Area (DA).
• Responsible for Right of Way (RoW) & Utility Easement (UE) Verification & validation by researching the plats information from the respective state govt. website.
• Prepare high quality Construction Drawing for planned network on ARAMIS, AutoCAD, SpatialNET, IRIS which includes Distribution area schematics, Maps and Cut-outs.
• Perform tasks specific to tools such as AOTX, MIC, OCALC, IQGEO, Lode data, IKE Office.
• Reading field surveys notes, O-Calc reports and converting the field notes into the Final Design in ARAMIS, AutoCAD, SpatialNet and IRIS.
• Special drawings/plant records, construction management documentation, and any other duties to ensure projects are completed successfully.
• Drafter should meet or exceed business unit goals while maintaining quality standards, controlling expenses, Project timelines and following company and business unit directives and practices.
• Ensures the integrity of the customer access network is maintained and provides support for the deployment of access technologies.
• Perform the upper-level complexity of jobs and functions within the district, focusing on Client GPONdesign.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
• Should be able support post design review with customer if required Development of OSP planning/design documentation, plans and specification assembly.

Required Skill Sets:

• Should have a minimum of 1 Year Hands on Experience on ARAMIS-DT, AutoCAD, SpatialNET, IRIS with complete understanding on backhaul, feeder and distribution architecture and respective use cases.
• Experience on Permit layouts, Traffic control plans and pole loading analysis would be an added advantage.
• Flexibility is a must, and the candidate should be flexible in terms of working hours, shift timings etc.
• Must be a dependable self-starter, able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced.
• Should be a team player and should step up & contribute whenever isrequired & asked for.ing hours, shift timings etc.
• Ability to meet critical due dates.

Qualifications:

Working Conditions :

• 9 Hrs. of Shift timings which includes Nightshifts and odd shifts.
• Should be flexible & ready to work on Indian/US holidays including weekends based on the Project requirement.
