The Head Shape Clinic in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Orthotist to lead cranial helmet therapy for infants and children. This full-time, on-site role involves precise measurements, impressions, and custom helmet design, with outreach to other cities as needed.

You will work closely with surgeons, pediatricians, and families, conducting follow-ups to monitor progress, adjust devices for comfort and effectiveness, and document clinical findings with accuracy.

Formación

• Strong expertise in Orthotics with hands-on assessment, design, fitting, and adjustment of pediatric cranial orthoses.
• Foundational knowledge in medicine and orthopedic surgery for collaboration with surgical and medical teams.
• Experience with measurement tools, scanning technologies, and clinical documentation.
• Registered Orthotist or relevant certification preferred.
• Experience with children and families, with strong communication and empathy.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and infection control.

The Head Shape Clinic is a bespoke clinic specializing in the treatment of cranial deformities in children. The clinic provides expert Helmet Therapy services tailored to each child’s needs. It is known for advanced craniosynostosis surgery, working closely with multidisciplinary specialists to deliver high-quality care. The environment is focused on precision, safety, and family-centered support, offering orthotic professionals the opportunity to work with complex and meaningful pediatric cases.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Orthotist role based in Bengaluru, with outreach to Mumbai, Hyderabad & Chennai. The Orthotist will assess infants and children with cranial deformities, perform detailed measurements and evaluations, and recommend appropriate helmet therapy and other orthotic interventions. Daily responsibilities include taking accurate cranial scans or impressions, designing and fitting custom cranial helmets, adjusting devices for comfort and effectiveness, and monitoring treatment progress through follow-up appointments. The role also involves collaborating with surgeons, pediatricians, and other clinicians, educating families on care and usage of orthotic devices, maintaining detailed clinical documentation, and adhering to safety and quality standards within th e clinic.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Orthotics, with hands-on experience in assessment, design, fitting, and adjustment of pediatric cranial orthoses.
• Foundational knowledge in Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery to collaborate effectively with surgical and medical teams on cranial deformity and craniosynostosis cases.
• Skills in Gait Analysis and Prosthetics beneficial for broader pediatric musculoskeletal management and interdisciplinary care.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Orthotics/Prosthetics or related allied health field; professional certification or registration as an Orthotist is preferred.
• Experience working with children and families, with strong communication, counseling, and empathy in a clinical setting.
• Ability to work accurately with measurement tools, scanning technologies, and clinical software; attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical safety, infection control, and ethical standards.
