Job summary

smiles.ai is seeking an orthodontist to lead comprehensive diagnostic and treatment planning for diverse cases in Bengaluru. You will review clinical exams, radiographs, and develop personalized plans for fixed appliances, aligners, growth modification, and retention.

You will supervise bracket placement, adjustments, progress monitoring, and the retention phase, ensuring long-term stability and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Orthodontic diagnoses and treatment planning across cases (clinical exams, diagnostic records, radiographs).
• Bracket placement, archwire adjustments, space management, habit-breaking appliances, and aligner protocols.
• Monitor treatment progress at regular intervals; adjust plans for optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Manage retention phase and long-term stability; address relapse concerns.
• Educate patients and families about options, timelines, hygiene practices, and post-treatment guidance.
• Coordinate cross-clinic consults, appliance installations, and reviews; travel 1–2 times/week as needed.

Job description

Orthodontic Diagnosis & Treatment Planning

• Conduct comprehensive orthodontic assessments including clinical examinations, diagnostic records, and radiographic analyses (OPG, CBCT, cephalograms).
• Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, including those requiring fixed appliances, aligners, growth modification, and retention.
• Coordinate with prosthodontists, oral surgeons, and general dentists on complex multidisciplinary cases.

Orthodontic Procedures & Appliance Management

• Execute precise bracket placement, archwire adjustments, space maintenance, habit-breaking appliances, and aligner protocols.
• Monitor and modify treatment progress at regular intervals to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Manage retention phase post-treatment, ensuring long-term stability and addressing any relapse concerns.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options, expectations, timelines, and hygiene practices.
• Provide pre-treatment counseling, post-procedure guidance, and consistent follow-ups to ensure compliance and comfort.
• Handle virtual consultations, progress assessments, and treatment reviews as required.

Clinic Operations & Team Coordination

• Supervise orthodontic workflows, ensuring timely appointments, patient readiness, and coordination with dental assistants.
• Maintain clear and updated documentation in CRM systems (e.g., QCRM, NEO) for every orthodontic case.
• Collaborate with the front desk, housekeeping, and sterilization teams to ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment.

Cross-Clinic Engagement

• Travel to partner clinics within the city for consults, appliance installations, or review appointments (1–2 times/week).
• Standardize protocols and share best practices with fellow orthodontists and general practitioners across locations.

Marketing & Community Presence

• Support educational events, open-house clinics, and community outreach focused on orthodontic awareness.
• Contribute to content initiatives with the marketing team – including case photos, videos, and
