Job summary

Snapdeal is seeking a proactive Oracle EBS R12.1.3 Functional Consultant with 5-8 years of experience to join our enterprise application support and implementation team. You will configure, support, and optimize core Oracle Financials and SCM modules, ensuring GST and TDS compliance in India.

Strong P2P expertise, basic SQL skills, and a passion for learning emerging technologies are essential. You will work on end-to-end P2P cycles, month-end close, and localization configurations for India.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant Oracle EBS experience.
• Experience in implementing Oracle EBS projects.
• Hands-on with month-end closing activities.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, CM).
• Basic SQL querying for data reconciliation and troubleshooting.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Oracle EBS R12.1.3 Functional Consultant ( Having more than 5-8 years of experience) to join our enterprise application support and implementation team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing core Oracle Financials and SCM modules, ensuring full compliance with Indian Taxation (GST and TDS). The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on functional knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) flows, is comfortable writing basic SQL queries for data reconciliation and troubleshooting, and brings a high degree of adaptability and passion for learning emerging technologies (such as Oracle Fusion Cloud and process automation).

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Functional Configuration & Module Management

• Provide end-to-end functional support, configuration, and maintenance across core Oracle EBS R12.1.3 modules:
• Core Finance: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CE), and Fixed Assets (FA).
• Procurement & Expenses: Purchasing (PO) and Internet Expenses (iExpenses) setup, templates, and approval hierarchies.
• Manage Subledger Accounting (SLA) rule modifications and accounting definitions.
• Manage Oracle Financials for India (OFI) / India Localization configurations for GST and TDS (Tax Deducted at Source).
• Handle tax calculation errors, GST invoice generation, TDS withholding tax processing, and e-way bill / e-invoicing integration issues.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries for tax recovery, liability, and monthly/quarterly tax filings.

Business Process Support & Operations

• Oversee end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) accounting cycles.
• Actively assist business users during Month-End and Year-End Closing activities, resolving period-close blocks, GL reconciliation discrepancies, and unposted transactions.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production tickets (Incidents & Service Requests) and coordinate with Oracle Support via Service Requests (SRs).

Technical Collaboration & Basic SQL

• Use Basic SQL to inspect backend tables (ap_invoices_all, gl_je_headers, po_headers_all, jai_* localization tables, etc.), run data validation, and troubleshoot transaction errors.
• Draft functional specification documents (FDD / AIM Documents like BR100, MD050) for custom reports, extensions, interfaces, and conversions.
• Collaborate closely with technical developers to test custom PL/SQL packages, BI Publisher reports, and workflow updates.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for learning new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Participate in roadmap discussions for future upgrades, modern automation, or migration from Oracle EBS R12 to Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Implementation Experience: Must have participated in at least one successful Oracle EBS implementation.
• Month-End Closing: Hands-on experience in month-end closing activities.
• Module Expertise: Strong functional expertise in Oracle EBS Financial modules - AP, AR, GL, FA, and CM.
• SQL Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL with the ability to write basic SQL queries.
