Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking an experienced Oracle ERP R12 Finance Support Analyst to provide end-to-end application support for GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and related modules in a global ERP environment.

The role combines functional finance expertise with technical Oracle knowledge to support month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, interfaces, and customizations while ensuring data integrity and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle EBS R12 Financials modules.
• Strong understanding of R2R, P2P, O2C processes and controls.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial data validation.
• Exposure to SOX controls, audits, and compliant reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support, incident management, and problem resolution for Finance apps.
• Analyze business requirements, design solutions, configure Oracle setups, and oversee testing/deployments.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Internal Audit to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Develop documentation, runbooks, and provide user training as needed.

The Team

We're seeking an experienced Oracle ERP R12 Finance Support Analyst (Techno-Functional) to provide application support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement services for Oracle Financials modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Revenue Recognition, and Cost Management within a complex global ERP environment.

This role requires a strong combination of functional finance expertise and technical Oracle application knowledge to support critical financial operations, revenue accounting processes, costing and inventory-related transactions, month-end and year-end close activities, reconciliations, compliance reporting, and audit requirements. The position will be responsible for resolving production issues, performing data analysis using SQL and PL/SQL, supporting and maintaining reports, interfaces, APIs, workflows, and customizations, while ensuring data integrity across integrated financial systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Shared Services, Internal Audit, and IT teams to manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, support testing and deployments, implement system enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring stable ERP operations, supporting financial controls and SOX compliance, and delivering scalable solutions that align with business objectives in a fast-paced global environment.

The Role

Lead functional and technical support for Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Revenue Recognition, SLA, and Cost Management.

Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshooting, incident management, and problem resolution for Finance applications.

Gather business requirements, analyze current processes, design solutions, configure Oracle setups, and oversee testing and deployment activities.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, financial data validation, and issue resolution.

Work closely with Finance users to support accounting operations, revenue recognition processes, costing transactions, and financial reporting requirements.

Perform root cause analysis and resolution of production issues involving transactions, accounting entries, interfaces, and reconciliations.

Analyze and troubleshoot Oracle Financials data using SQL and PL/SQL.

Develop and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documents, and support procedures.

Partner with technical teams to support integrations, reports, extensions, APIs, workflows, conversions, and customizations.

Support Oracle Reports, BI Publisher reports, FSG reports, and financial reporting solutions.

Monitor and support interfaces between Oracle ERP and banking systems, procurement applications, tax systems, inventory systems, and other external applications.

Validate accounting transactions, subledger accounting entries, and General Ledger postings to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Support system configuration, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities for enhancements and projects.

Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover planning, and post-production validation activities.

Collaborate with Supply Chain and Cost Accounting teams to support inventory valuation, cost accounting, intercompany transactions, and related financial processes.

Support audit activities, SOX controls, approval workflows, segregation of duties, and internal control requirements.

Review and maintain security access, finance controls, and compliance documentation.

Work with development teams to review technical designs, interfaces, reports, and custom solutions.

Participate in Oracle ERP upgrades, patching activities, enhancement projects, and future cloud transformation initiatives.

Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization across Finance business processes.

Provide knowledge transfer, user training, and support documentation for business and IT teams.
