Job summary

VARITE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED seeks an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage mission-critical production databases. The ideal candidate has hands-on Oracle 19c, Autonomous Database, OCI, Multitenant, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM and performance tuning skills.

Responsibilities include administering Oracle 19c production environments, Data Guard/ASM/OEM, backups, upgrades and tuning. Onsite contract role with 24/7 shift and 4 openings in Bangalore.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Strong production support experience with Oracle 19c.
• Hands-on Autonomous Database + OCI experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Oracle Database 19c production environments.
• Manage Oracle Multitenant Architecture CDB/PDB.
• Administer Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP/ADW) on OCI.
• Configure and support Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, and OEM.
• Perform database installation, patching, upgrades, migration, cloning and refreshes.
• Perform backup/recovery and performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM and SQL Tuning.
• Manage database security, users, roles, privileges and auditing.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and perform RCA.
• Automate DBA activities using Shell Scripting, SQL, PL/SQL and Python.
