Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to manage RAC environments and perform upgrades, migrations, and backups in a high-availability setup. The candidate will install, configure, and optimize Oracle databases (11g/12c/18c), handle security aspects like Vault and TDE, and collaborate with teams to ensure reliable, secure data services.

The role requires proactive monitoring, patching, and efficient resource planning to maintain peak database performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as Oracle DBA.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC 11g, 12c and 18c.
• Experience upgrading from Oracle 10g to 11g, 11g to 12c, 12c to 18c.
• Knowledge of migrating Oracle databases across servers and platforms.
• Installation/configuration of Oracle 11g/12c/18c per best practices.
• Database user role management.
• Applying PSU patches regularly.
• Ensure HA and optimum performance with proper resources.
• RMAN backups, Vault/TDE security, and client-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor database systems to ensure services are up and running.
• Work with teams to allocate hardware resources for databases.
• Apply PSU patches on Oracle databases on a regular basis.
• Create databases as per requirements and manage user roles.
• Export/import backups as per client requirements.

Location : Navi Mumbai

• Strong knowledge on Oracle RAC 11g, 12c and 18c.Strong knowledge of RAC networking, Sharp trouble shooting knowledge of RAC issues. Good technical knowledge of RAC background process.
• Oracle Upgradation from Oracle 10g to 11g, 11g to 12c, 12c to 18c
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database migration from one server to another server cross platform.
• Installation, configuration and implementation of Oracle 11g, 12c and 18c database's as per the best practices and as per the requirements
• Creating database as per the requirements.
• Database User Role management.
• Applying PSU patching on oracle database on regular basis.
• Work with the teams to ensure that the associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance.
• To Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure services are up and running.
• Knowledge of Oracle Vault, Oracle TDE. E-wallet, DB security points, RMAN expertise Export and import backups as per the client requirements.
