Job summary

Mumba Technology is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud GL Support Consultant for hybrid work in Hyderabad and Gurgaon. The role focuses on L2/L3 production support, issue resolution, and period‑close activities in a live Oracle Cloud Financials environment.

The candidate should have 4–5 years in Oracle Cloud GL support, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with MOS, ITSM tools, and cross‑module integration. Contract duration 6–12 months, extendable based on performance.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in Oracle applications, with 4–5 years in Oracle Cloud GL support/operations.
• Solid production support experience in live environments.
• Deep understanding of GL configurations: CoA, Ledgers, Calendars, Journal Sources/Categories.
• Experience with allocations, revaluation, translation, consolidation.
• Experience handling period‑close cycle issues and close‑window support.
• Knowledge of GL integration with AP/AR/FA/CM/Expenses.
• Experience raising MOS SRs and using ITSM tools.
• Oracle Cloud Financials (GL) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month/quarter/year-end close activities including journal review and accruals.

• Assist in GL data loads and interface corrections (FBDI).
• Collaborate with subledger teams to resolve cross‑module issues.
• Prepare and update support documentation and SOPs.
• Participate in on‑call/rotational support during close windows.

Job Title: Oracle Cloud GL (General Ledger) — Application Support Consultant

Job Type: Contract with Mumba Technology

Location: Hyderabad and Gurgaon (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 6–12 Months (extendable based on performance and engagement needs)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud General Ledger (GL) Support Consultant with strong hands‑on functional expertise in Oracle Cloud GL, with proven experience resolving production issues, handling period‑close activities, and providing day-to-day operational support in a live Oracle Cloud Financials environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle Cloud General Ledger module, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests within defined SLAs
• Manage and troubleshoot day-to-day GL issues: journal posting errors, allocation failures, reconciliation mismatches, ledger balancing issues
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including journal review, accruals, revaluation, translation, and consolidation
• Monitor and resolve issues in scheduled processes (ESS jobs) related to GL — posting, import, allocations, period close
• Handle intercompany transactions, elimination entries, and cross-ledger balancing issues
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes / configuration changes
• Coordinate with Oracle Support (SRs/Service Requests) for bug fixes, patches, and quarterly update issues
• Support functional testing of Oracle Cloud quarterly patches/updates and regression testing for GL processes
• Work closely with subledger (AP, AR, FA & CM) support teams to resolve cross‑module integration issues impacting GL
• Assist in FBDI‑based data loads, journal uploads, and correction of failed interface/import processes
• Maintain and update support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
• Handle minor enhancements, CRs (Change Requests), and configuration updates as per business need
• Provide end-user support, training, and query resolution related to GL processes
• Track tickets via ITSM tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.) and report on SLA compliance and ticket trends
• Participate in on-call/rotational support and be available during period-close windows (including weekends, if required)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in Oracle applications, with at least 4–5 years dedicated to Oracle Cloud GL support/operations
• Strong hands‑on experience in a production support environment
• Solid understanding of GL configurations: Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Calendars, Journal Sources/Categories, Data Access Sets
• Practical experience with allocations, revaluation, translation, and consolidation processes
• Experience handling period‑close cycle issues and providing close‑window support
• Working knowledge of GL integration points with AP, AR, FA, CM, and Expenses
• Hands‑on experience with OTBI, FRS (Financial Reporting Studio), and Smart View for troubleshooting/reporting issues
• Familiarity with FBDI templates and resolving failed import/interface issues
• Experience raising and managing Oracle Service Requests (SRs) via My Oracle Support (MOS)
• Understanding of Oracle Cloud release cycles (quarterly updates) and their impact on GL configurations
• Good knowledge of ITSM/ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure Preferred/Good to Have
• Oracle Cloud Financials (GL) certification
• Prior experience in AMS/support engagements (as opposed to only implementation projects)
• Exposure to SLA‑driven support models and ticket‑severity frameworks (P1/P2/P3)
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation/debugging (not mandatory)
