Job summary

First Advantage is seeking an Oracle Apps Technical Consultant to design, develop, customize, and support Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 components. You will build interfaces, perform data migration, and ensure performance and compliance with Oracle standards.

Key requirements include hands-on Oracle EBS R12, SQL/PLSQL proficiency, experience with BI Publisher and ADF/UI components, and Unix/Linux scripting. You will work with functional teams to translate business needs into robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite R12
• Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL
• Hands‑on with BI Publisher, XML/RTF templates, Interfaces and APIs, and Concurrent Programs
• Strong understanding of Oracle EBS architecture and performance tuning

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and support Oracle EBS components.
• Create and modify interfaces between Oracle EBS and external systems.
• Migrate and convert data using SQL/PL/SQL and Oracle tools.
• Troubleshoot data issues, resolve reconciliation problems, and ensure data integrity.
• Provide production support, bug fixes, and performance tuning for concurrent programs and SQL/PL/SQL.

What You'll Do

The Oracle Apps Technical Consultant is responsible for the technical design, development, customization, and support of Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) applications. The role involves working closely with functional consultants and business users to translate business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with Oracle standards. Responsibilities: Technical Development Design, develop, customize, and maintain Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 components. Develop and modify Rice Components Create and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers. Develop and customize Forms, OAF (Oracle Application Framework) pages, and ADF components (as applicable). Work with Workflow Builder to customize and troubleshoot workflows. Integration & Data Handling Design and develop interfaces between Oracle EBS and third‑party/external systems. Perform data migration and conversion using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle standard tools. Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and reconciliation issues. Support & Maintenance Provide production support, including issue analysis, bug fixes, and performance tuning. Analyze and resolve concurrent program failures, performance issues, and database-related errors. Monitor and tune SQL queries and PL/SQL programs for optimal performance.

What You Will Need to be Successful

• Strong experience in Oracle E‑Business Suite R12
• Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL
• Hands‑on experience with: Oracle Reports BI Publisher (XML, RTF templates) Interfaces and APIs Concurrent Programs
• Good understanding of Oracle EBS architecture
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
• Knowledge of Oracle database objects and performance tuning
