Job summary

Zensar is seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Developer to translate business requirements into robust application code. The role focuses on PL/SQL, UNIX scripts, and Oracle XML Publisher reports, with Oracle ADF and integration work across modules.

You will collaborate with analysts, Scrum Masters and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years in IT, strong Oracle skills, and hands-on experience with upgrades, tuning, and SSDLC.

Qualifications

8-10 years of IT experience as a software developer.
Strong PL/SQL and Unix Shell scripting skills.
Experience with Oracle XML Publisher Reports, Workflow, WebADI.
Oracle ADF/OAF developments, Business Events and Bursting.
Experience with Oracle 12.2 Upgrade and database tuning.
Able to work on Interfaces and Extensions; familiar with SSDLC.

Responsibilities

Translating business requirements into application code.
Documenting technical specifications and aligning solutions to architecture.
Performing code reviews and ensuring consistency with standards.
Collaborating with BAs, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
Supporting deployments and on-call production support as needed.
Maintaining knowledge of best practices and business processes.
Conducting peer reviews of code and deliverables.

Translating Business Requirements into application code

Document the technical application specifications

Perform code reviews and align the solutions to architectural specifications

Work with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business impact projects & enhancements.

Collaborate with development team members to ensure proper implementation and integration of the solutions.

Support deployments during hyper care, troubleshoot production issues if needed / be available for on-call as needed

Maintain current knowledge of relevant best practices and business processes

Participate in and conduct peer code and deliverable reviews

What you need to have:

At least 8 -10 years of experience in IT as a software developer
Knowledge in Oracle Application Financial Modules - Payables, Receivables, General Ledger and iExpenses & iProcurement, OCI, OIC
Excellent knowledge in PL/SQL and Unix Shell Script
Experience in developing and customizing Oracle XML Publisher Reports, Workflow, WebADI
Oracle Application Framework developments, Business Events and Bursting
Experience in Oracle 12.2 Upgrade
Oracle Database and Performance Tuning
Ability to work on Interfaces & Extensions
SCM tools – GitHub, ADO
Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) practices
Experience in various project methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Waterfall, RUP, Scrum and Agile)

Nice to have:

Oracle Forms
Expertise in other programming languages e.g. Java, Python, Node JS
Supports and assists senior developers in developing codes, tests and debugs of software programs and enhancements to meet project plan goals.
Works under guidance from senior software developers.
Assists with repairing coding problems.
Provides technical support to internal clients on existing problems, escalates as appropriate.
Monitors trends and results from technical support calls to advise senior team members on performance of existing systems.
