Working Days: 5 Days Mode of Interview: VirtualPosition Overview Oracle is seeking a motivated Backend Engineer (Mid Level) to join our product modernization team under a staff augmentation model. Working under Oracle's direct architectural oversight, you will build out the core middleware layer connecting Microsoft 365 environments to enterprise intelligence platforms. Your work will centralize on executing the Graph API Sync Layer, writing the Admin Backend configuration services, managing the API Gateway layout, and providing data connectivity hooks to power a proactive Agentic AI Orchestrator.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Graph API Tasks Sync Service: Develop a timer-triggered server-side backend service providing bidirectional synchronization between Siebel CRM Actions/Coverage Approval Requests and the Microsoft Outlook Tasks surface (Microsoft To Do) via the Microsoft Graph Tasks API.
• Endpoint Detection & Dual-Support: Implement tenant-level detection to dynamically manage connectivity across both the legacy Exchange Tasks endpoint (/me/tasks) and the modern Microsoft To Do API (/me/todo/lists/{listId}/tasks).
• Webhook & Subscription Management: Configure and maintain Microsoft Graph subscription models, webhooks, delta queries, and event change notifications to process high-throughput, real-time message contexts.
• Admin Configuration Backend: Deliver the programmatic foundations of the administrative configuration dashboard, supporting settings for per-user sync lists, conflict resolution policies (e.g., Last-Write-Wins), deletion handling (soft/hard deletes), and custom extended property schema maps.
• Agentic AI Integration & Tool Mapping: Support the Agentic AI Orchestrator by exposing registered write-back target data definitions as dynamic tools via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) framework.
• Token Resilience & Queue Management: Manage delegated token flows (Tasks.ReadWrite) at a per-user scale using Nested App Authentication (NAA), and establish offline retry queues that preserve pending data changes during unexpected network disconnects.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Core Backend Stack: Solid backend software engineering experience using Node.js and TypeScript.
• M365 & Graph Ecosystem: Deep hands-on proficiency with the Microsoft Graph API framework (specifically covering Mail, Calendar, Tasks, and People domains).
• Identity Management: Strong familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 delegated/application permission paradigms, and token lifecycle management.
• Sync & Queue Engineering: Comprehension of asynchronous processing, background workers, queuing mechanisms, exponential backoff rules, and complex data conflict synchronization.
• AI & API Interfacing (Preferred): Familiarity with enterprise API integration patterns for LLM execution layers, prompt context assembly, and structural API gateway management is highly preferred.
