Qualifications

  • Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) is required.
  • Candidates with relevant experience in Optometry / Ophthalmology / Eye Care will be preferred.
  • Good patient-handling and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health.
  • Perform visual acuity assessments and refraction tests.
  • Identify and evaluate visual problems and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
  • Assist patients with selection and fitting of spectacles and contact lenses.
  • Perform contact lens fitting and provide guidance on proper lens handling and care.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and healthy eye-care practices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Identify ocular conditions requiring specialist attention and coordinate referrals to ophthalmologists.
  • Assist in pre-operative and post-operative eye-care procedures as required.
  • Use and maintain ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic equipment appropriately.
  • Stay updated with advancements in optometry and incorporate best practices into patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and explain examination findings and treatment recommendations.
