Job summary

Vidpro Consultancy Services seeks a skilled Optometrist to manage comprehensive eye examinations and vision screening in our Vision Room. You will perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and advise on corrective lenses while using Fundus Camera, Slit Lamp, and tonometry for retinal and glaucoma screening.

You will educate patients on eye care, maintain precise records, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure efficient daily operations and high-quality preventive eye healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Optometry with valid registration/license.
• Experience in vision screening, eye examinations and using ophthalmic equipment.
• Proficiency with Auto-refractometer, Fundus camera, Tonometer and Slit lamp.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vision screening and primary eye assessments in the Vision Room.
• Perform and interpret visual acuity testing and refraction assessments; recommend corrective lenses.
• Operate ophthalmic equipment including Fundus Camera, Tonometer and Slit Lamp; assist in glaucoma screening.
• Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports; educate patients on eye care and preventive screening.
• Coordinate with clinical and operations teams for smooth workflow.

Job Description: Optometrist

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist to manage vision screening and primary eye assessment services in our Vision Room. The ideal candidate should be proficient in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and operating diagnostic ophthalmic equipment for early detection of vision and retinal disorders. The role involves working closely with patients, ensuring accurate assessments, and supporting preventive eye healthcare through technology-enabled screening.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical & Diagnostic Responsibilities
• Conduct vision correction and refractive error assessments (eye-sight checks)
• Perform and interpret:
• Visual acuity testing
• Refraction assessments
• Prescription recommendations for corrective lenses
• Operate Fundus Camera for AI-assisted retinal imaging and retina assessment
• Conduct Tonometry to assess intra-ocular pressure (IOP) for glaucoma screening
• Perform Slit Lamp Examination to evaluate:
• Cataract
• Corneal abnormalities
• Anterior segment disorders
• Identify signs of ocular disease and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required
• Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports
• Patient Care & Counseling
• Explain test procedures and results clearly to patients
• Educate patients on eye care, preventive screening, and follow-up recommendations
• Ensure patient comfort and adherence to hygiene/safety protocols
• Equipment & Operations
• Ensure proper handling, calibration, and maintenance of ophthalmic equipment
• Support smooth day-to-day operations of the Vision Room
• Coordinate with clinical and operations teams for workflow management
