Job summary

Centre For Sight is seeking an ophthalmic technician to support comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic testing. The role involves patient history logging, acuity testing, refraction, IOL cross-check, and various imaging and tonometry procedures to assist ophthalmologists.

Ideal candidates will be capable of precise HMIS documentation, hands-on testing in a busy clinic, and patient-friendly communication in English and local languages as required. On-site opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Patient history taking and documenting in HMIS.
• Visual acuity assessment, refraction and POG.
• Assessment of squint and pupillary reaction.
• Performing applanation tonometry.
• A-scan assessment.
• Immersion for cross-checking the IOL.
• Performing NCT (Non-Contact Tonometry).
• Doing pachymetry.
• Helping the patient in doing conversion exercise on Synoptophore.
• Doing keratometry (manual) assessment.
• Performing HVF investigation.
• Dry and dilated radioscopy/cross cylinder.
• Soft contact lens fitting.
