Job summary

Lonza in Rewari, India, is seeking an Operator – Preparation to efficiently prepare Gel Feed Tanks in the Gel Melting Room. You will operate SCADA-driven equipment, transfer materials, and ensure GMP-compliant documentation and safety.

The role requires an ITI or Diploma in Pharmacy, Science, or Engineering (Chemical preferred) and entry-level experience in pharma manufacturing. Join a team focusing on quality and precise batch preparation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SCADA systems and pharmaceutical processes.
• GMP and GDP awareness is required.
• Ability to document records accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor gelatin melt tanks via SCADA to prepare batches as per specifications.
• Transfer approved gelatin bags and feed ingredients according to SOP and master formula.
• Prepare GFTs using weighing booths and dry dye weighing systems.
• Operate VAS to meet viscosity set points.
• Perform capsule trim grinding and ensure proper documentation.
• Clean GFTs and dishes using automated and manual processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation as per GDP.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during shift.

Intro Summary of the Role:

Responsible for efficient preparation of Gel Feed Tanks (GFT) in the Gel Melting Room (GMR) within standard parameters, ensuring quality compliance, timely delivery, and adherence to safety and GMP practices.

What You Will Do:

• Operate and monitor gelatin melt tanks via SCADA to prepare batches as per specifications
• Transfer approved gelatin bags and feed ingredients according to SOP and master formula
• Prepare GFTs using weighing booths and dry dye weighing systems
• Operate Viscosity Adjustment System (VAS) to meet viscosity set points
• Perform capsule trim grinding and ensure proper documentation
• Clean GFTs and dishes using automated and manual processes
• Maintain accurate documentation as per GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during shift

What We Are Looking For:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with strict quality and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs
• Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and pharmaceutical processes
• Education: ITI or Diploma in Pharmacy, Science, or Engineering (Preferred: Chemical)
• Experience: Entry-level experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar environment
• Skills: Operation of SCADA systems, Knowledge of GMP and GDP, Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
