Job summary

Responsibilities

• Handle Trade Finance transactions including LC issuance, amendments, advising and settlement.
• Handle BG issuance, amendments, invocation and closure.
• Process Import/Export Bills and Collections transactions.
• Verify documents per UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, FEMA and internal guidelines.
• Coordinate with branches, relationship teams, customers and banks.
• Ensure processing within defined TAT and SLA; manage risks and controls.
• Support regulatory reporting, AML screening and compliance.
• Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives.

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our WBG Operations team at the Customer Service Desk. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in banking operations, particularly in RTGS/NEFT transactions, fund transfers, and tax payments. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and proficiency in Excel to support daily operational tasks and client servicing.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and authorize Trade Finance transactions including:
  • Letters of Credit (LCs) - Issuance, Amendments, Advising & Settlement
  • Bank Guarantees (BGs) - Issuance, Amendments, Invocation & Closure
  • Import and Export Bills processing
  • Collection transactions (Import/Export)
• Verify transaction documents in line with UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, FEMA and internal guidelines.
• Coordinate with branches, relationship teams, customers and correspondent banks for trade-related queries.
• Ensure timely processing within defined TAT and SLA standards.
• Identify operational risks and ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
• Handle exception management, discrepancy resolution and customer escalations.
• Support regulatory reporting and compliance activities.
• Participate in automation, process improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to AML, Sanctions Screening and Compliance requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Banking or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations.
• Hands-on experience in LC, BG, Export/Import Bills and Collections processing.
• Good understanding of UCP 600, URDG, FEMA and Trade Finance regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Handle and process RTGS, NEFT, fund transfers, and tax payments efficiently at the branch, mid-office, or front office level. Provide prompt and accurate support to customers and internal teams regarding transaction status, payment issues, and operational queries. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines during transaction processing. Maintain and update transaction records and reports using Excel and internal banking systems. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies or escalations related to customer transactions. Monitor transaction queues and ensure timely execution of all payment instructions. Assist in audits and internal reviews by providing necessary documentation and reports. Continuously identify areas for process improvement and contribute to enhancing service delivery.
