2. Core Positioning
Comprehensively oversee the production operations, quality control, and end-to-end supply chain management of the India plant; as the head of regional operations in India, coordinate with cross- regional teams in China, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, and other regions to ensure the achievement of overall production capacity targets in the Asia-Pacific region; serve as the primary person accountable for the daily operations of the India plant.
3. Key Job Responsibilities
3.1 Production and Capacity management
- Lead core capacity transfer projects and workshop process optimization technical transformation solutions, deliver solutions as scheduled and follow up the full-process acceptance;
- Fullly control the execution of the whole production workflow, follow up the entire link from order placement to finished product delivery as the primary process owner, ensure all production milestones are met on time, and synchronize progress to APAC headquarters timely;
- Organize company-level operation meetings every week, coordinate the Sales, HR, R&D and Purchasing departments, and communicate on issues including production, delivery, quality, human resources, and so on.
- Organize biweekly scheduled operation review meetings, verify the implementation status of all OM operational activities, and report core risks and key results to APAC management team.
3.2 Cross-regional collaboration management
- Coordinate with operation teams from China, Australia, UAE and other regions, synchronize capacity, quality and inventory data of India factory, and jointly resolve cross-regional supply chain collaboration issues;
- Support APAC functional teams to compile core technical documents such as product material datasheets, and share region-specific operation supporting data with oversea business teams;
- Participate in APAC-level operation rule formulation, deliver actionable localized optimization suggestions based on the actual situation of India factory, to ensure 100% delivery of HQ KPI requirements in India region.
3.3 Cross-regional collaboration management
- Build the capability system of local India operation team, cooperate with APAC recruitment requirements to complete the recruitment, training and performance appraisal for local operation positions, and establish a stable local operation talent pipeline;
- Continuously optimize the SOP operation workflow of India factory, identify process bottlenecks and push for rectification, reduce production loss, improve overall operation efficiency, and ensure the factory operation meets the global unified quality standard.
3.4 Data and risk management
- Submit weekly and monthly operation reports for India region regularly, provide core KPI data including working efficiency, capacity utilization rate, product yield and on-time delivery rate to APAC Operations Director, identify operation risks in advance and deliver corresponding response plans;
- Take charge of compliance control for daily factory operation, ensure all production links comply with local regulations on work safety, labor and other related requirements, to avoid operational compliance risks.
4. Job qualification requirements
- Bachelor degree or above, major in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operation Management or related disciplines is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing factory operation management with rich knowledge of ISO9001/IATF16949 and digital tools, work experience at local Indian factories of multinational manufacturing enterprises in the automotive manufacturing industry are preferred.
- Proficiency in production planning, quality control and end-to-end supply chain management workflow, proven experience in leading new capacity construction / transfer projects is preferred.
- Fluent in English communication, able to collaborate with cross-regional international teams with no barrier, and own excellent cross-cultural communication and coordination skills.
- Result-oriented with strong execution capability, capable of independently driving complex operation projects from solution design to full-process closed-loop delivery.
- Familiar with local Indian manufacturing regulations and labor environment, capable of properly handling team management and compliance related issues at local factory.
