Job summary

Apex Group in Bengaluru is seeking a senior Payments Operations leader to manage end-to-end global payment operations, including SWIFT, FED payments, and interbank transfers. You will review vendor payments, validate banking details, and ensure accurate processing across currencies.

You will lead a 10+ member operations team, drive daily controls, adapt processes for cross-jurisdictional clients, and collaborate with senior leadership globally. Bachelor's in Commerce is required; MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 10-14 years of experience in Payments, Treasury, Banking Operations, or Transfer Agency.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT, FED Payments, FX settlements, and cash management processes.
• Prior team management experience and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end global payment operations, including SWIFT (MT103/MT202), FED Payments, Internal Transfers, FX Transactions, RTGS, and NEFT.
• Review and process fund-related vendor payments, custody bank invoices, subscription, and redemption payments.
• Validate SSIs and ensure accuracy of banking details (ABA, BIC, IBAN, Sort Code, BSB).
• Monitor payment mailboxes, prioritize transactions by currency cut-offs, ensure timely execution.
• Support global offices and clients by resolving payment-related queries via email and calls.
• Drive daily operational controls, escalations, MIS reporting, and process improvements.
• Lead and manage a team of 10+ members while ensuring service delivery and SLA adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• 10-14 years of experience in Payments, Treasury, Banking Operations, or Transfer Agency.
• Strong knowledge of SWIFT, FED Payments, FX settlements, and cash management processes.
• Experience in handling payment investigations and fund-related transactions.
• Prior team management experience.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• MBA preferred.
• Knowledge of Hedge Funds and Private Equity will be an added advantage.
