Job summary

ANABYN is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the specialist-unit panel for towels, bed linens and bathrobes. You will manage production calendars, coordinate mills, and ensure packing and labeling meet buyer specs while maintaining export documentation accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in textile manufacturing/export, with experience in towels/linen, AQL, and strong vendor negotiations. Travel to Erode, Karur, and Tirupur is expected 2–4 times monthly; attention to CRM-driven

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years in a textile manufacturer and exporter.
• Experience with terry towels or bed linen including GSM, shade, and AQL.
• End-to-end orders including export documentation.
• Comfortable negotiating with mill owners in Tamil and English; Malayalam a plus.
• Willing to travel to Erode, Karur and Tirupur 2–4 times a month.
• Proficient using CRM software for order and document tracking.

Responsibilities

• Run the specialist-unit panel: 3–5 mills per product line with scorecards.
• Build back-calculated production calendars from vessel cut-off to yarn and approvals.
• Negotiate rates and lead times with mills and update pricing system.
• Plan inline and final inspections with QC lead and act on findings.
• Own packing, labelling, and shipping marks per buyer spec.
• Book freight and prepare export documents: invoice, packing list, origin certificate, B/L follow-through.
• Host buyer visits and video calls at the mill for their order.
• Maintain all orders and documents in the CRM, not WhatsApp/Excel.

Job description

Anabyn is a textile manufacturer and exporter. We write the spec for towels, bed linen and bathrobes, have each order made by a specialist unit in South India, inspect it to AQL 2.5 and ship it from Cochin or Vizhinjam as exporter of record.

The Operations Manager owns everything between a confirmed order and a container on the water. You run the specialist-unit panel, keep production on calendar, make sure packing matches the buyer's spec and get the export documents right the first time. The founders sell; you deliver.

What you will do

• Run the specialist-unit panel: 3 to 5 mills per product line, each with a scorecard for spec, shade, on-time delivery and audit status. Recommend when to add or drop a mill.
• Build a back-calculated production calendar for every order, from vessel cut-off back to yarn, lab dips and approvals, and chase it daily.
• Negotiate rates and lead times with mills and keep vendor rates current in the pricing system.
• Plan inline and final inspections with the QC lead in Erode and act on what they find.
• Own packing and labelling to buyer spec: cartons, inserts, care labels, barcodes and shipping marks.
• Book freight with forwarders and prepare export documents: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading follow-through.
• Host buyer visits and video calls at the mill running their order.
• Keep every order, task and document in the CRM, not in WhatsApp and Excel.

What you bring

• 5 to 8 years in a textile manufacturer and exporter, buying office or home-textile mill, in merchandising or production.
• Working knowledge of terry towels or bed linen: GSM, thread count, shade bands, shrinkage, AQL.
• Has run orders end to end, including export documentation.
• Comfortable negotiating with mill owners in Tamil and English. Malayalam is a plus.
• Willing to travel to Erode, Karur and Tirupur two to four times a month.
• Happy to work in software every day.

Nice to have

• An existing network of mills and units in the Karur, Erode or Tirupur clusters.
• Experience with GCC hotel or laundry buyers.
• Has managed one or two people.
