Job summary

ANABYN seeks a Quality Control Expert in Erode to conduct inline and final inspections on home textiles, write precise inspection reports, and build the evidence pack for audit-ready supplier validation.

You will coordinate lab tests, approve dips, and manage lot decisions with the mill and Operations Manager, while maintaining OEKO-TEX certificates and audit readiness for customers audit programs.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of QC in home textiles (towels/bed linen).
• Hands-on AQL inspection with sample size defense.
• Understands lab test reports: shrinkage, colour fastness, GSM, pilling.
• Writes clear reports in English; Tamil required for mill work.

Responsibilities

• Hold or reject lots; plan rework with mill and Operations Manager.

Job description

Anabyn sells hotel and home textiles to buyers who will never visit India before their first order. What they buy is our inspection. Specialist units make the product; we decide whether it ships.

The Quality Control Expert is based in Erode and spends most days on the mill floor. You inspect, you write it down, and you stop a lot that is not right. You also build the evidence pack that lets us sell to hotel groups, laundries and healthcare buyers who audit their suppliers.

What you will do

• Run inline and final inspections at specialist units to AQL 2.5 against the buyer's spec: GSM, dimensions, shade, hand feel, stitching, labelling and packing.
• Approve lab dips and pre-production samples before bulk starts.
• Write a clear inspection report with photos for every lot and file it on the order in the CRM the same day.
• Hold or reject lots that fail, and agree the rework plan with the mill and the Operations Manager.
• Arrange third-party lab tests (wash durability, shrinkage, colour fastness) and keep the results organised by product.
• Keep a register of each mill's certificates, with OEKO-TEX numbers, scope and expiry dates.
• Prepare mills for buyer audits and social-compliance audits such as SMETA or amfori BSCI.
• Check every public quality claim we make against the evidence on file.

What you bring

• 4 to 7 years of QC in home textiles (terry towels and/or bed linen) at a buying house, manufacturer and exporter or inspection agency.
• Hands-on AQL inspection. You can pick a sample size and defend a pass or fail.
• Understands lab test reports: shrinkage, colour fastness, GSM and pilling.
• Writes clear reports in English. Tamil is required for mill work.
• Based in or willing to move to Erode, with your own two-wheeler for mill visits.

Nice to have

• Experience with an inspection agency such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or QIMA.
• Has supported an OEKO-TEX, SMETA or BSCI audit.
• Diploma or degree in textile technology.
