Job summary

Giga is hiring an Operations Manager to lead its India entity, owning payroll, compliance, accounting, vendor contracts, and recruitment. You will partner with leadership in San Francisco and shape the playbook for operations in India from scratch.

You will establish onboarding, benefits, HR policies, and scalable processes, while ensuring CRM/data integrity and revenue operations support as headcount grows in a fast-evolving environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations, business operations, or HR/finance operations at a high-growth startup.
• Understanding payroll, statutory filings, and vendor contracts in India.
• End-to-end recruiting experience and focus on candidate experience.
• Proficiency with CRM and spreadsheets; ability to turn data into reporting.
• High agency, ownership mindset and ability to document scalable processes.
• Clear communicator across time zones; comfortable working with San Francisco team.
• AI-native mindset; adept at using AI tools to automate repetitive tasks.

THE ROLE

We're hiring an Operations Manager to run Giga's India entity as we grow the team there. You'll own the entity's day-to-day operations, help us hire and onboard great people, and support revenue operations with our go-to-market team.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who likes building from scratch. You'll work closely with leadership in San Francisco, and the systems you set up will become how Giga runs in India. You'll be expected to build the playbook, not inherit one.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Running the India entity day to day: Own payroll, statutory compliance (PF, TDS, GST), accounting and audit coordination, and vendor contracts, working with our legal, tax, and payroll partners.
• Building the team: Partner with hiring managers to run recruiting in India, from sourcing and interview loops to offers and onboarding.
• Employee experience: Set up onboarding, benefits, HR policies, equipment, and workspace so new hires are productive from day one.
• Revenue operations: Keep our CRM accurate, build pipeline and forecast reporting, and help run quote-to-cash: contracts, invoicing, and collections.
• Systems that scale: Turn one-off tasks into documented, automated processes that hold up as headcount grows.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years in operations, business operations, or HR and finance operations, ideally at a high-growth startup.
• You understand how payroll, statutory filings, and vendor contracts work in India, and know when to bring in specialists.
• You've run or supported recruiting end to end and care about the candidate experience.
• You're at home in a CRM and spreadsheets, and you turn pipeline and billing data into clear reporting.
• High agency, low ego. You notice gaps early, take ownership of them, and leave behind a process instead of a workaround.
• Clear communicator. You work smoothly across time zones and keep the San Francisco team in the loop without being chased.
• AI-native. You use AI tools every day to move faster and automate the repetitive parts of the job.

NICE TO HAVE

• Hands-on with Salesforce or a similar CRM
• Prior experience at an AI or B2B SaaS startup
• Experience with list building to target leads
