Job summary

Croma is looking for a Store Operations Associate in Bengaluru to support the Store Manager in daily operations, people management, and cash handling at our city store.

The role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, driving sales initiatives, ensuring compliance and safety, and delivering a positive customer experience for shoppers.

Role & responsibilities

Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the store runs efficiently and meets company standards. Supervise store activities, including opening and closing procedures. Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked. Monitor store safety and compliance with all regulations and company policies.

Staff Supervision: Assist in hiring, training, and developing store employees. Supervise and provide guidance to staff members to ensure productivity and adherence to store policies. Schedule employee shifts and manage daily staffing needs. Conduct performance evaluations, give constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Motivate the team to reach sales goals and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Sales &

Customer Service: Support the Store Manager in driving store sales by implementing strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Analyze sales data and customer feedback to improve store performance. Assist in developing and executing promotional campaigns or events to attract customers. Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Inventory & Merchandising: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure products are replenished in a timely manner. Oversee visual merchandising efforts, ensuring displays are attractive and aligned with company guidelines. Assist with managing inventory, conducting stock checks, and resolving discrepancies. Participate in annual or periodic inventory audits.

Financial Responsibilities: Assist with cash management, including handling cash drawers, bank deposits, and reconciling discrepancies. Monitor store expenses and control costs to improve profitability. Help maintain accurate financial records, including sales reports, profit and loss statements. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Address customer concerns and operational issues quickly and effectively. Step into the Store Managers role in their absence, making key decisions to maintain store operations. Identify and resolve issues related to staffing, customer service, or store operations proactively.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all store policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements. Implement safety protocols and train employees on emergency procedures. Ensure the store meets all health and safety standards.

Other Duties: Assist with other responsibilities as needed to support the Store Manager and store operations. Participate in corporate meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities as required.
