Job summary

Sbicap Securities in Mumbai seeks a Market Risk professional focused on the commodity market to manage post-trade operations, MTM calculations, and regulatory-compliant record-keeping. The role requires coordinating with exchanges and internal teams to ensure smooth settlements and data integrity.

The candidate will own UATs, system integrations, and liaise with clearing corporations, ensuring timely reporting and error-free back-office processes for the commodity segment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and handle all post-trade operations related to commodity trades executed by clients.
• Ensure accurate allocation, matching, and booking of client orders across various commodity contracts.
• Monitor real-time margin requirements, collateral blockages, and mark-to-market (MTM) calculations.
• Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready transactional records and data ledgers for the entire commodity segment in strict compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Generate and submit daily compliance files, end-of-day (EOD) trade logs, and margin status reports to respective commodity exchanges.
• Perform mandatory daily multi-way reconciliations between internal back-office ledgers, exchange clearing files, bank settlement accounts, and depository balances.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and corporate liaison for national commodity exchanges and clearing corporations.
• Proactively manage exchange queries, updates regarding physical delivery logic, circular interpretations, and operational settlement cycles.
• Lead the operational setup, parameters configuration, and technological integration of commodity trading and back-office settlement software.
• Design, execute, and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for exchange software upgrades, terminal updates, and custom internal automation patches.
• Collaborate closely with IT vendors and risk management teams to ensure data integrity and system stability prior to going live.
