Job summary

Valtrust IFSC LLP in India handles onboarding and KYC for IFSCA-regulated fund services within GIFT City, coordinating with banks and fund managers to execute and monitor investments in IFSC funds, AIFs, and PMS for residents, NRIs and foreign investors.

The role requires strong attention to regulatory compliance (KYC/AML, FATCA/CRS), documentation, and cross-border fund flows, with exposure to LRS processes and global custody arrangements across a fast-growing financial hub in GIFT City.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fund operations for AIFs, PMS and IFSC fund structures
• Understanding of IFSCA AML/KYC norms and FEMA/LRS guidelines
• Familiarity with FATCA/CRS and cross-border documentation

Responsibilities

• Onboard clients (resident Indians, NRIs and foreign investors) and complete KYC/Due Diligence as per IFSCA AML/KYC Guidelines
• Execute and monitor client investments in IFSC-domiciled funds, AIFs, PMS and global/outbound investment products
• Coordinate LRS remittances for resident investors with banks and IFSC Banking Units (IBUs)
• Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, trustees and IFSC Banking Units for subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls and distributions
• Maintain records, track USD-denominated transactions and reconcile client holdings
• Prepare reports as per internal processes, regulatory requirements and for client information purposes

Job description

• Part of the operations team for IFSCA-registered distribution business in GIFT City
• Execute and monitor client investments in IFSC-domiciled funds, AIFs, PMS and global/outbound investment products
• Onboard clients (resident Indians, NRIs and foreign investors) and complete KYC/Due Diligence as per the IFSCA AML, CFT & KYC Guidelines, including beneficial ownership, FATCA/CRS and source-of-funds checks
• Verify FATCA/CRS declarations, source-of-funds documentation and beneficial ownership details
• Coordinate LRS remittances for resident investors with banks and IFSC Banking Units (IBUs)
• Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, trustees and IFSC Banking Units for subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls and distributions
• Execute non-financial transactions such as nominee updates, transmission, change of details, etc.
• Support compliance with the IFSCA (CMI) Regulations, including periodic regulatory filings and reporting
• Coordinate with intermediaries and platforms in GIFT City as required
• Maintain records, track USD-denominated transactions and reconcile client holdings
• Prepare reports as per internal processes, regulatory requirements and for client information purposes.
