Job summary

PAN & COMPANY | HEADHUNTER is seeking an experienced Operations Director for its India subsidiary. The role oversees end-to-end corporate operations including finance, HR, and compliance, reporting to China Headquarters.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in corporate operations within Telecom, Semiconductor, or Electronics, with strong regulatory experience and fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus. This is a pure governance/execution role with no sales targets.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in corporate operations (non-production) leadership in telecom, semiconductor, or electronics.
• Experience with India government agencies and regulators; ability to flag risk early.
• Experience reporting to a China HQ and understanding China-headquartered orgs.
• Fluent English; Mandarin a strong plus.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR | INDIA SUBSIDIARY HEAD (Non-Manufacturing, Non-Sales)

Our India subsidiary is the operational backbone connecting local market execution with China Headquarters — spanning finance, HR, compliance, and administration. We're looking for a seasoned corporate/entity operations leader to own that mandate end to end.

This is a pure execution and governance role — it does NOT carry sales targets, and it does NOT oversee manufacturing operation or infrastructure set up (a separate technical team handles QC/engineering). Reporting into China Headquarters, the Operations Director owns the daily corporate operations of the India entity: standardizing SOPs, coordinating finance/HR/legal compliance, and acting as the core liaison between India and the Overseas Marketing Center.

• Establish and standardize local operational SOPs; optimize cross-department (non-production) workflows
• Own daily entity operations — HQ-facing coordination of finance, HR, and legal/regulatory compliance (not manufacturing/production)
• Compile weekly/monthly/quarterly operation reports, track core KPIs, submit analysis to China HQ
• Monitor local industry, regulatory, and market dynamics; report insights to HQ (not a revenue-generating/sales function)
• Direct office administration, asset management, and daily HQ communication
• Serve as principal liaison between the India subsidiary and China's Overseas Marketing Center
• Maintain relationships with local banks, credit insurance institutions, regulators, and third-party service providers
• Build and mentor a local corporate team; not responsible for factory/manufacturing staff

You are:

• A hands-on entity operations leader with 20+ years in Telecom, Semiconductor, or Appliance/Electronics companies — in corporate office, HR, finance, or compliance leadership, not production/manufacturing management and not sales/BD.
• Substantive, hands-on experience with India government agencies and local policy bodies with the judgment to interpret policy shifts and flag risk early is essential.
• Experience supporting or reporting to a China HQ, and a working understanding of how a China-headquartered organization operates is essential.
• Local EMS senior business relationships or supplier resources are a strong plus.
• Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred); fluent English, Mandarin a strong plus.
