Job summary

Motherhood Hospital in Mohali is seeking an OT Technician to support the anesthetist by arranging required drugs and managing theatre equipment. You will ensure all instruments and devices are ready before surgery and coordinate with vendors for timely servicing.

In this role, you will assist the surgical team during procedures by arranging sterile sets, passing items, and helping with patient movement and theatre cleaning.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology required.
• 1-3 years of experience in operating theatre support.
• Knowledge of OR protocols and equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Operating and understanding all medical equipment in the Center, and ensure that the relevant equipment is ready before the start of surgery.
• Coordinating with equipment vendors if equipment is not up to operational standards and ensuring equipment is fully serviced in a timely manner.
• Assisting surgical team during operative procedures, by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operation and passing items as needed.
• Assisting in preparing and moving patients, and cleaning the operating theatre
• Other responsibilities usually associated with a Technician Maintenance of Narcotic Drugs and updating of records and register on daily basis
