Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and support OpenStack cloud environments (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, Glance).
• Perform daily operational activities and monitor cloud health.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, and virtualization issues.
• Monitor infrastructure with Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Perform OpenStack upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Linux admins, network teams, and application teams.
• Automate tasks using Ansible, Python, or Shell scripting.
• Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations.
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot service failures across OpenStack components.

Experienced OpenStack Engineer with 4+ years of experience in managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale OpenStack cloud environments. will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance optimization, incident management, capacity planning, and operational excellence across cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support OpenStack cloud environments, including (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift, Glance)
• Perform daily operational activities, Monitoring cloud health, Incident management, Problem management, Change management, Capacity planning
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, network, and virtualization-related issues.
• Monitor infrastructure using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar solutions.
• Perform OpenStack upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with Linux system administrators, network teams, and application teams for issue resolution.
• Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Shell Scripting, or Python.
• Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations.
• Analyze logs and troubleshoot service failures across OpenStack components.
• Ensure SLA compliance, security best practices, and operational governance.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in OpenStack administration and operations.
• Good understanding of Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder, Swift, and Heat.
• Experience with OpenStack deployment and lifecycle management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• System administration and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience with KVM/QEMU.
• Understanding of hypervisor architecture and virtual machine lifecycle management.
• TCP/IP, VLANs, VXLAN, Routing, DNS, DHCP.
• Ansible, Shell Scripting, Python (preferred)
• OpenShift and Ceph Administration

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of cloud security and hardening practices.
• Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications
