Job summary

TrueTech Solutions is seeking an experienced OpenStack Developer in Bengaluru to design and maintain containerized OpenStack clusters using Kolla and Kolla-ansible. The role involves integrating with Samsung MANO, creating Heat templates, and ensuring high availability.

Candidates should have 6+ years in OpenStack development, active community contributions, and familiarity with Gerrit/CI/CD workflows. Excellent scripting and automation skills are required for deployment and operations support.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of OpenStack development experience.
• Kolla-based OpenStack deployment experience.
• Strong experience with Kolla-ansible for containerized OpenStack deployment.
• Experience in OpenStack upgrades and migrations.
• Active contributor to OpenStack community.
• Record of commits, reviews, or bug fixes in OpenStack projects.
• Familiarity with OpenStack development workflow (Gerrit, CI/CD).
• Experience with upstream collaboration and patch submissions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OpenStack services and custom drivers.
• Deploy and manage Kolla-based containerized OpenStack clusters.

• Create Heat templates for VNF deployment.
• Maintain HA clusters and ensure system reliability.
• Perform OpenStack upgrades and migrations.
• Contribute bug fixes and features to OpenStack upstream.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Technical Skills :

OpenStack : Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance, Heat, Placement, Swift, Ceilometer, Gnocchi

Programming: Python (advanced), Bash scripting

Database : MariaDB/MySQL, Cassandra

Messaging: RabbitMQ, Redis

Infrastructure: Linux (RHEL/CentOS 8), KVM virtualization, libvirt

Networking: Open vSwitch (OVS), SDN concepts, VLAN, VXLAN, SR-IOV, IPv4/IPv6

High Availability: Pacemaker/Corosync clustering, HAProxy, Keepalived
