Persistent is seeking a highly skilled OpenStack Engineer to manage, deploy, and optimize enterprise-grade OpenStack cloud environments. The role emphasizes TripleO-based deployments, Linux infrastructure administration, and cloud automation across compute, storage, and networking.

You will lead installations, upgrades, lifecycle management, and platform migrations while ensuring high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Linux and Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on OpenStack Administration experience.
• Strong expertise in TripleO-based OpenStack deployments and lifecycle management.
• Deep understanding of RHOSP, OpenStack Architecture, and Cloud Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, and manage large-scale OpenStack environments using TripleO.
• Perform OpenStack installation, patching, lifecycle management, and platform expansion activities.
• Administer core OpenStack services including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance, Heat, and Octavia.
• Execute under cloud and overcloud deployments, control plane upgrades, and platform migrations.
• Manage Linux-based cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and networking components.
• Automate deployment and operational activities using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, networking, and storage layers.
• Drive performance optimization, capacity planning, operational excellence, and platform reliability.

About Position:
