Job summary

Tekskills is seeking an OpenShift Administrator for Pune (WFO) with 8–10 years of relevant experience. The role covers OpenShift administration, Kubernetes operations, and day‑2 support across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will deploy, upgrade, patch, and automate routines while maintaining SLAs/SLOs and coordinating multi‑vendor delivery across projects. A technical leadership mindset and strong collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience with 4+ years in OpenShift Administration and operations.
• Deep experience in containers and OpenShift troubleshooting both on‑prem and cloud.
• Experience deploying OpenShift/Kubernetes in On‑Prem and Cloud environments.
• Experience upgrading patches and enforcing best practices for OpenShift/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incident resolution, change orders, and service requests on priority.
• Lead OpenShift/Kubernetes day‑2 operations automation using Ansible or similar.
• Maintain multiple clusters per compliance requirements across environments.
• Create and update SOPs and wiki articles for OpenShift/Kubernetes administration.
• Proactively identify gaps and propose solutions in the container platform.

Job Description:

• 7+ years of industry experience with 4+ years of experience in OpenShift Administration and operations
• Deep experience in Containers, OpenShift troubleshooting both On-Prem and in Cloud
• Deployment of OpenShift or Kubernetes and its components both in On-Prem and Cloud
• Integration of OpenShift or Kubernetes with various other tools like Quay, Advanced Cluster Management, CMDB, Monitoring, etc
• Experience in performing OpenShift or Kubernetes Upgrades, Applying Patches, and the best practices to be followed
• Strong Experience in automating OpenShift / Kubernetes Day-2 operations using Ansible or similar
• Good experience in maintaining multiple OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters as per compliance
• Experience in creating, updating, and managing SoPs, wiki articles that is required for managing OpenShift / Kubernetes administration
• Experience in maintaining SLAs, SLOs and other key deliverable metrics
• Coordinate with the team to action and resolve Incidents, Change Orders, Service Requests, etc on priority basis
• Pro-actively identifying the gaps and challenges in the OpenShift / Kubernetes environment and come up with a solution
• Escalate the issues / alerts as and when required and keep the stakeholders communicated
• Lead teams within delivery multi-vendor environments in multiple countries
• Experience as a technical leader and build technical assets that will be useful in maintaining container platform
