Job summary

Infosys in India seeks an experienced DevOps/Cloud Native engineer to design, develop, and deploy microservices on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms. The role involves building containerized apps with Docker/Podman, and leading CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

You will automate deployment, monitor health, and enforce IaC with Terraform or Ansible. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of hands-on experience, strong Linux fundamentals, and familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Kubernetes (K8s) and OpenShift.
• Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Podman).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Shell scripting).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Helm charts).
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy microservices-based applications on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker/Podman.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and management of applications in OpenShift environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, cluster health, and deployments.
• Work with DevOps teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Configure and manage OpenShift features like routes, builds, services, operators, and security policies.
• Ensure application security, compliance, and best practices in cloud-native deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and cloud engineers.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
