Job summary

Hetero in India seeks an experienced engineer to operate and maintain pharmaceutical processing and water systems, ensuring GMP compliance and timely maintenance. You will work with QA/Engineering teams on validation, audits, and equipment troubleshooting across multiple units.

The role requires hands-on experience with process equipment and strong knowledge of QMS processes, with 5–7 years in mechanical disciplines. A technical diploma is preferred, offering growth within a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of pharmaceutical process equipment.
• Knowledge of Engineering QMS, Change Controls, and CAPA; SOPs and PM checklists.
• Diploma/B.Tech Mechanical preferred with 5-7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Pre-Treatment, PW, PSG, and WFI systems via SCADA/HMI.
• Carry out CIP, hot water and ozone sanitization, preventive and breakdown maintenance; maintain logs and validation docs.
• Coordinate with QA and Engineering during system validation, troubleshooting, and regulatory audits.
• Maintain equipment like vial washing machines, depyrogenation tunnels, filling/capping machines, autoclaves, lyophilizers.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

ENGINEERING WATER PRE TREATMENT :-Responsible for operating and monitoring Pre-Treatment, Purified Water (PW), PSG, and WFI systems, including RO, UF, EDI, UV, and Ozone systems through SCADA/HMI interfaces. The role involves CIP, hot water and ozone sanitization, preventive and breakdown maintenance, routine inspection, and troubleshooting of water system equipment. The candidate will also maintain operational logs, maintenance records, water quality reports, SOPs, and validation documentation while ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental requirements. Coordination with QA and Engineering teams during system validation, troubleshooting, and regulatory audits is also required.

ENGINEERING PROCESS :-The candidate should have hands‑on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of pharmaceutical process equipment, including vial washing machines, depyrogenation tunnels, filling and capping/sealing machines, sterilization autoclaves, formulation and filtration vessels, garment washing/drying machines, and lyophilizers. The role involves handling breakdowns promptly, effective troubleshooting, and timely closure, along with carrying out preventive maintenance activities. Candidates should have good knowledge of Engineering QMS, including Change Controls and CAPA, and be capable of preparing SOPs, PM checklists, and maintaining critical spares for process equipment.
