Job summary

Staffing Services is seeking a design team lead to guide a group of design professionals on product development and application engineering, ensuring the team's KPI performance. You will oversee preparation of engineering drawings, finalize material specs, pursue weight reduction through value engineering, and build prototypes for concept approval while aligning with quality management systems.

This role requires close collaboration with manufacturing and back-office to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Experience leading design teams on product development and engineering projects.
• Proficiency in creating engineering drawings with complete details.
• Knowledge of materials, processes, and weight reduction via value engineering.
• Experience implementing QMS and maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to develop multiple concepts and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team of design professionals on product development and application engineering.
• Prepare and check engineering drawings with complete details.
• Finalize material specifications and processes to ensure product quality.
• Apply value engineering to reduce weight and optimize existing products.
• Build prototypes for concept approval and support manufacturing and other departments.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Systems and QMS in the technical department.
• Provide technical support to back-office and manufacturing as needed.

Job description

• You will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of design professionals on various

projects on product development and application engineering and ensure that the KPI of

your team is maintained.

• Preparing and checking engineering drawings with all details.
• Finalizing specifications of materials and processes to achieve final product quality.
• Value Engineering reduction in weight and optimization of existing products, Standardization

of design and New product development.

• Ability to generate multiple concepts and suggest various solutions for a requirement
• Build prototypes for concept approval.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Systems and implementation of QMS in technical department
• Support to back-office on technical aspects and also to provide technical support to

manufacturing and other departments as needed.
