Job summary

Control Component India Pvt. Ltd. invites a Design Engineer - Project Engineer to join our mechanical design team in Andhra Pradesh, with preference for Sri City/Tada area.

You will lead end-to-end design activities for process automation projects, develop CAD models, and ensure compliance with ASME and GD&T standards. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering degree and 3–6 years of design experience, strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills, and hands-on ERP experience to drive project

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college.
• 3–6 years of experience in design engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiar with ASME B16.34 and ASME BPV Code sections.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end sale order engineering, product design and development.
• Review customer specifications and propose engineered solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations and design for existing or new products.
• Create GA, 3D models, assemblies, BOM using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and IFS.
• Check and approve drawings, BOMs and reports.
• Work independently or in global engineering teams.
• Interact with IMI global engineering teams for project execution.
• Initiate Engineering Change Orders and approve revisions.
• Manage projects within scope to meet deadlines and outcomes.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Job description

Position: Design Engineer - Project Engineer

Reports to: Project Engineering manager

Sector: Process Automation

Location (Preferred): Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh, India

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end to end sale order engineering, product design anddevelopment.
• Review of customer/technical specifications, analyse requirement and propose engineeredsolutions.
• Perform engineering calculations and design as required for existing or newproducts.
• Creation of GA, 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings and BOM using solid works, AutoCAD and IFS
• Check and/or approve drawings, bills of material and reports asrequired.
• Work independently or as a team member in the global engineeringenvironment.
• Interactions with IMI global engineering teams for efficient execution of theprojects.
• Initiates "Engineering Change Order" as required when changes are made to product design, drawings, or manufacturing processes. Reviews and approves revisions to drawings, bills of material, and procedures as required.
• Manage all projects within scope of responsibility to meet desired deadlines andoutcomes.
• Performs other work-related assignments deemed necessary and appropriate bysupervisor.

Critical Competencies for Success

• Knowledge of Control Valve Design and Engineering isrequired.
• Strong CAD skills (Part modelling, Drafting and Assembly) in Solid works & AutoCAD, CAD automation preferred.
• Working experience in IFS or ERP.
• Ability to review technical specifications, engineering standards and produce associated designdocumentation.
• Subject matter expert with industry specifications such as ASME B16.34, ASME B&PV Code Sections I, II, and VIII. Able to interpret and apply as required.
• Understanding of GD&T dimensioning and familiar with drafting practices as per ASMEY14.5.
• Familiarity with general manufacturing processes, quality, andmaterials.
• Should have excellent English communication skills, be self-motivated, a self-starter, have a sense of urgency, be personable and well organized.
• Experience in communication with Global clients is addedadvantage.
• Education qualification and Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from good or reputed college only: 3-6 years' experience.
