Job summary

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Rigger to perform rigging activities in line with safety and quality standards on offshore assignments worldwide. The role may involve scaffolding construction, forklift operation, and coordination with Deck/Rigging Foremen.

Candidates should have at least 6 years of offshore rigging experience, English proficiency, and certifications including BOSIET, H2S, PTW, and HSE induction. ATEX certificate and Basic Life Support are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School/secondary education is required.
• Offshore rigging experience with at least 6 years.
• English language proficiency required and safety training certifications listed.
• BOSIET and H2S training are mandatory.
• PTW (Permit to Work) experience and HSE induction are required.
• ATEX certificate and Basic Life Support knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigging activities in line with safety and quality standards.
• Construct scaffolding structures if certified and directed by supervisor.
• Drive forklift if certified and authorized.
• Follow daily instructions from Deck or Rigging Foreman.
• Ensure rigging works comply with applicable standards and best practices.
• Verify equipment is safe and report anomalies to supervisor.
• Coordinate with adjacent works to minimize risk.
• Follow Permit-to-Work procedures at all times.
• Keep work site clean and orderly.
• Assist marine department during mooring operations as required.
• Report to Rigging Foreman or Deck Foreman.

Job Summary

Offshore Rigger - Carries out rigging activities in line with instructions given by own Deck Foreman / Rigging Foreman and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs rigging works in accordance with safety and quality requirements
• If certified to do so, carries out the construction of scaffolding structures in accordance with the instruction given by the supervisor
• If certified to do so, drives the fork-lift
• Follows daily instructions given by the Deck Foreman or Rigging Foreman
• Ensures rigging works are carried out according to the applicable rigging standards and best practices
• Verifies that the equipment and materials are in good and safe operating conditions and reports any anomalies to the Deck/Rigging Foreman
• Ensures coordination with the adjacent works to minimize coactivity and avoids unsafe conditions
• Follows the Permit-to-Work procedure
• Ensures the housekeeping of the work location
• During offshore or marine-related activities, assists the marine department during mooring operations as required
• Reports to the Rigging Foreman or the Deck Foreman
