Job summary

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Building Construction safety.
• Looked after at least two towers for at least one year.
• Good written and spoken communication in English and Hindi.
• Basic computer operations and emailing.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of inspection of vehicles, construction machinery, tools and equipment and according to the checklist.
• Verification & Validation of daily labour record, data maintenance.
• Ensure induction training to all workers at site.
• Guidance, allocation and monitoring of supervisor’s work.
• Periodic safety training, safety induction, toolbox talks for labours, staff and visitors.
• Record safety practices and rectify issues.
• Arrange labour welfare programmes & motivational programs for labours, staff and visitors.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness; ensure doctor visits to labour camps.
• Procure safety material on time and ensure proper utilization.
• Handle accidents/incidents and conduct preventive measures.
• Submit safety reports to HO under guidance of Project Incharge.
• Coordinate with other depts, HO, consultants & external agencies.
• Ensure safety during materials shifting.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Timely identification and compliance of safety requirements of site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Keep track of inspection of vehicles, construction machinery, tools and equipment and according to the checklist
• 2. Verification & Validation of daily labour record, data maintenance.
• 3. Ensure induction training to all workers at site.
• 4. Guidance, allocation and monitoring of supervisor’s work.

• 6. Recording of the correct/ incorrect safety practices followed at site and action taken for rectification of the same.
• 7. Arrangement labour welfare programmes & motivational programs (Film, Demo, Talk etc) for labours, Staff and Visitors.
• 8. Focusing on maintenance of hygiene, cleanliness, ensuring Doctor's visit to the labour camps.
• 9. Ensure on time procurement of safety material & effective utilization of the same.
• 10. Effective handling critical situations like accidents/ incidents and carrying out accident analysis, preventive measures to be taken.
• 11. Prepare and submit Scheduled report about safety to HO under the guidance of Project Incharge.
• 12. Proactive measures taken for environment safety, housekeeping and to Solve issues related to safety.
• 13. Responsible for ensuring safety during materials shifting
• 14. Effective coordination with other depts, HODs, HO, consultants & external agencies for smooth working.

KEY DELIVERABLES / PERFORMANCE MEASURES

• 1. Identify and ensure compliance of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
• 2. Efforts to minimize injuries at site.

KEY CHALLENGES

• 1. Maintain the safety skill of work force which is highly volatile in terms of frequent shifting of work location.
• 2. Sustain pressure of work speed with safety and legal requirements relating to workforce.

IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE

Knowledge

• 1. Graduation: Any, Science Graduate, NIBOSH
• 2. Minimum 4 Years’ experience in Building Construction safety job. As safety incharge should have looked after at least two towers for at least one year.

Skill

• 1. Good written and spoken communication skills (English and Hindi)
• 2. Sound physique.
