State Street in Bengaluru seeks an Officer (Manager) for Client Profitability to lead transformation, analytics and technology delivery. The role blends finance, data analysis and automation to enhance profitability insights and controls in a full-time hybrid setup.

You will partner with Finance, DART, and Analytics teams, coach junior staff, and drive continuous improvement across client profitability platforms and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, IS or Data Analytics.
• 6–8 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Client Profitability, or related areas.
• Experience on transformation, automation, or technology projects.
• Experience partnering with Technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Support client P&L automation roadmap aligned with Finance Transformation.
• Identify automation opportunities across production, reporting, and analytics.
• Maintain dashboards tracking productivity, quality and business benefits.
• Support PCM implementation, testing, UAT and adoption activities.

Officer (Manager), Client Profitability (Client P&L) - Transformation, Analytics & Technology

About the Role

This full-time, hybrid position in Bengaluru sits within State Street’s Client Profitability function and reports to the Vice President, Client P&L Transformation, Analytics & Technology. It supports the delivery of the client profitability transformation agenda through automation, technology adoption, data analysis, and ongoing process improvement. The role works closely with Finance, Technology, DART (Data, AI & Automation Office), and Analytics teams. Its purpose is to improve efficiency, strengthen controls and transparency, and expand analytical capability while supporting PCM implementation and future-state profitability technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Transformation, Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Support the client P&L automation roadmap in line with Finance Transformation objectives.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities across production, reporting, and analytics workflows.
• Simplify processes to improve scalability and strengthen controls.
• Help refine operating models with stakeholders to improve efficiency.
• Maintain metrics and dashboards that track productivity, quality, and business benefits.

DART Partnership & Innovation

• Serve as the client P&L contact for assigned DART initiatives.
• Participate in evaluating and testing AI, automation, and analytics solutions.
• Support Finance AAA (Automation, Analytics & AI) capabilities.
• Contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement.

PCM Implementation & Technology Support

• Support PCM implementation, enhancements, and adoption activities.
• Assist with requirements gathering, testing, UAT, and implementation work.
• Help migrate manual allocation methodologies into scalable platforms.
• Support improvements in traceability, controls, reconciliations, and reporting.

Client P&L Systems & Analytics

• Build working knowledge of methodologies, systems, and data architecture.
• Support data quality, allocation, reporting, and analytics enhancements.
• Help develop self-service reporting and dashboards.
• Prepare profitability analyses and insights for review.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

• Work with relationship managers, pricing, finance, and technology partners.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Present findings, issues, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate across teams and follow up on deliverables.

People & Teamwork

• Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to junior team members and analysts.
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Support change management and adoption activities.
• Own assigned transformation tasks, milestones, and business outcomes.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Client Profitability, Business Analytics, Finance Transformation, or a related area.
• Experience contributing to transformation, automation, or technology projects.
• Experience partnering with Technology teams to deliver business solutions.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, profitability analytics, allocation methodologies, and management reporting.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, technology and innovation orientation, and execution focus.
• Ability to take ownership, support continuous improvement, work across business and technology teams, mentor junior colleagues, and use data to support decisions.
