Job summary

State Street in Bangalore seeks an Officer (Manager) for Client Profitability (Client P&L) Transformation, Analytics & Technology. The role supports automation, data analytics, and process improvement across PCM initiatives, partnering with Finance, DART, and Analytics teams.

The incumbent will drive reporting, build dashboards, and mentor juniors while engaging with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes and modernization of profitability technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of the Client P&L automation roadmap in line with Finance Transformation objectives.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across production, reporting, and analytics processes.
  • Contribute to process simplification initiatives that improve scalability and strengthen controls.
  • Assist in refining operating models with stakeholders to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain metrics and dashboards that track productivity, quality, and business benefits.
  • Act as a Client P&L point of contact for assigned DART initiatives.
  • Participate in the evaluation and testing of AI, Automation, and Analytics solutions.
  • Support Finance AAA capabilities.
  • Contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support PCM implementation, enhancements, and adoption activities.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, testing, UAT, and implementation tasks.
  • Help migrate manual allocation methodologies into scalable platforms.
  • Support improvements to traceability, controls, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Build and apply working knowledge of methodologies, systems, and data architecture.
  • Support data quality, allocation, reporting, and analytics enhancements.
  • Help develop self-service reporting and dashboards.
  • Prepare profitability analyses and insights for review.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, pricing, finance, and technology partners.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Prepare and present findings, issues, and outcomes to team leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional coordination and follow-up on deliverables.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to junior team members and analysts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Support change management and adoption activities within the team.
  • Take ownership for delivering assigned transformation tasks, adoption milestones, and business outcomes.

Function: Client Profitability (Client P&L)
Grade / Band: Officer (Manager level)
Reports To: Vice President, Client P&L Transformation, Analytics & Technology

The Officer (Manager), Client Profitability (Client P&L) Transformation, Analytics & Technology, supports the delivery of the Client Profitability transformation agenda through automation, technology adoption, data analytics, and continuous process improvement. Working under the direction of the Vice President and senior leaders, the role executes automation and reporting initiatives, partners with Finance, Technology, DART (Data, AI & Automation Office), and Analytics teams, and contributes to PCM implementation and future-state profitability technology initiatives. The role combines hands-on delivery with day-to-day coordination of process improvements that enhance efficiency, controls, transparency, and analytical capability.

Key Responsibilities
Transformation, Automation & Continuous Improvement

Required Qualifications
Education

Experience
  • 6‑8 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Client Profitability, Business Analytics, Finance Transformation, or related disciplines.
  • Experience contributing to transformation, automation, or technology projects.
  • Experience partnering with Technology teams to deliver business solutions.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting, profitability analytics, allocation methodologies, and management reporting.
