Job summary

DBS Bank India, Bengaluru, is seeking an Operations professional to manage banking transactions, customer service, and account updates in a high-volume setting.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, process cash and cheque-related activities, and respond to inquiries with accuracy and timeliness. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cantonment, Bengaluru, offering growth within a leading Asian bank.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years banking experience.
• Graduate preferably Banking/Commerce.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients.
• Responsible and able to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge about internal/external regulations.
• Good computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations and policies for all processes related to banking transactions.
• Process cash and transfer transactions and clearing of instruments.
• Handle receipt & processing of cheques, demand drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Process requests for new account opening or transaction updates as authorised.
• Respond to customer service inquiries including balances, transaction details, statements and fees/charges.
• Address customer queries and grievances within defined timelines and escalate when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and bank policies for all processes related to banking transactions
• Process cash transactions, transfer transactions and clearing of instruments
• Receipt & processing of cheques, demand drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders & other instruments, bills for deposits up to authorized limits
• Process requests for new account opening, transaction updation etc., either jointly with an officer or independently, upon specific authorisation in this regard
• Process customer service requests, Respond to customer service account inquiries such as account balances, transaction details, statements and fees/charges.
• Address customer queries and grievances within the defined timelines and elevate when required to the appropriate authorities
