Job Title: Offer Industrialization Leader (OIL) – Data Centre Cooling
Position Summary
The Offer Industrialization Leader bridges the gap between R&D and Mass Production for critical cooling infrastructure (including Chiller, CDU, and CRAH/CRAC units). This role ensures that complex thermal and mechanical designs are seamlessly translated into scalable, robust, and cost-effective manufacturing processes, delivering high-quality, factory‑ready cooling solutions on time and at target cost.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) reviews for large‑scale cooling units, focusing on sheet metal fabrication, structural welding, copper piping/brazing networks, and electrical cabinet routing.
- Define and implement the end‑to‑end industrial architecture, including assembly line layout, specialized lifting/handling equipment, vacuum/leak testing stations, and final performance run‑test chambers.
- Own the industrialization budget (CAPEX/OPEX) and drive material productivity and component optimization to meet target recurring product costs.
- Execute Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to mitigate risks such as structural misalignments, electrical faults, and refrigerant/coolant loop leakage.
- Coordinate with procurement and supplier quality teams to industrialize local components and lead the final Production Readiness Review (PRR) to hand over a stable, high‑yield process to global factory operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Time‑to‑Market: 100% adherence to scheduled industrial milestone gate exits.
- Product Cost (Recurring): Achieve ≤ 100% of the target manufacturing cost defined at project kick‑off.
- Industrial CAPEX: Stay within ≤ 5% of the approved industrialization budget.
- First‑Pass Yield (Leak & Test): Achieve ≥ 98% First Pass Yield at pressure, vacuum, and electrical test bays within 30 days of production launch.
- Line Ramp‑Up Efficiency: Attain 100% target cycle time (Takt time) capability by the Final Industrial Gate.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or production engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years in NPI, process engineering, or factory industrialization within the HVAC, industrial cooling, or heavy electromechanical manufacturing sector.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of metal fabrication, automated welding/brazing, refrigerant handling/charging processes, and automated end‑of‑line testing. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, APQP, and PFMEA.
- Project Management: Strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams (R&D, Quality, Procurement, Operations) in a matrix environment to clear rigorous stage‑gate governance.
