Job summary

Purview Services is looking for a proficient OCI Infrastructure Specialist to manage and optimize cloud resources. You will provision compute, storage, and networking services, set up tenancies and compartments, and implement IAM policies to control access across environments.

You will monitor performance, implement HA/DR, apply security patches, and develop automation scripts using Terraform, Shell, or Python. Collaboration with DevOps/IT teams and Oracle support coordination are required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and OCI services.
• Expertise in OCI networking, VCN security lists.
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices for cloud environments.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provision and configure OCI services including compute, storage, networking, VCN, and databases.
• Implement IAM policies, roles, and permissions.
• Manage OCI environments including tenancy setup and compartments.
• Apply security patches and manage vulnerabilities.
• Monitor resources for performance and utilization.
• Implement HA and DR solutions.
• Develop automation scripts using Terraform or Shell/Python.
• Provide Level 2 cloud support and coordinate with Oracle Support.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and SOPs.

Role & responsibilities

Infrastructure Management
Provisioning and configuring OCI services such as compute storage networking VCN and databases
Implementing and maintaining Identity and Access Management IAM policies roles and permissions
Managing and maintaining OCI environments including tenancy setup and compartmentalization
Security Compliance
Implementing security policies access controls and compliance standards
Applying security patches and performing vulnerability management to maintain security and stability
Performance Optimization
Monitoring OCI resources for performance and utilization
Optimizing resource allocation for cost effectiveness and efficiency
Implementing High Availability HA and Disaster Recovery DR solutions
Automation Scripting
Developing and maintaining automation scripts using tools like Terraform or scripting languages Shell Python to streamline tasks
Collaboration Support
Collaborating with development DevOps and other IT teams
Providing Level 2 support for cloud related incidents and troubleshooting issues
Coordinating with Oracle support for escalations and complex issues
Documentation
Creating and maintaining technical documentation such as architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures
