Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer at L3 to design, implement, and optimize enterprise OCI environments. You will lead complex OCI networking, IaC with Terraform, and DevOps automation to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

In this role, you will mentor L1/L2 engineers, collaborate with architects and security teams, manage migrations, and ensure secure, highly available cloud platforms with cost-conscious operations.

Role Overview

The L3 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments. This role focuses on resolving complex cloud and networking issues, deploying new OCI solutions, and ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud platforms.

Role Description

The L3 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments. This role focuses on resolving complex cloud and networking issues, deploying new OCI solutions, and ensuring secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud platforms. As a technical leader, the engineer will provide guidance to L1 and L2 support teams, drive automation and operational excellence, and collaborate closely with architects, security teams, application teams, and customers to deliver reliable, business-aligned cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex OCI platform and cloud networking issues within enterprise environments.
• Design and implement enterprise cloud networking solutions using OCI networking services.

• Monitor, tune, and optimize cloud performance, capacity, availability, disaster recovery, backup, and cost management.
• Ensure cloud environments meet organizational security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to L1/L2 engineers.
• Develop operational documentation, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, application teams, vendors, and customers to deliver cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in incident management, change management, and major incident resolution.

Required Experience

• Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving complex Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud networking issues in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available OCI architectures.

• Experience with automation, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar), and DevOps practices.
• Strong experience performing root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and service improvement initiatives.
• Experience with cloud monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and cloud cost optimization.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across support and engineering teams.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including architects, security teams, application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
