Job summary

Samarthang Healthcare in Bengaluru is seeking a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist to assess children’s development, plan individualized therapies, and deliver sensory integration activities.

You will support children with ASD, ADHD, Down syndrome, CP and other developmental conditions; document progress, educate families for home practice, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a safe, child-friendly setting. Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy and child development.
• Basic understanding of sensory integration approaches.
• Good clinical observation, assessment and treatment-planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and a child-centred approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluate children's developmental and functional abilities.

• Develop activities to improve handwriting, self-care and activities of daily living (ADL).
• Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate therapy records and documentation.
• Educate and guide parents/caregivers on home-based therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, speech therapists and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a child-friendly, safe and positive therapeutic environment.
