Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited seeks a Medical Officer to oversee the Occupational Health Centre (OHC) and provide clinical care for employees. You will diagnose, treat, manage emergencies, and coordinate hospital referrals as needed.

The role includes conducting pre-employment and periodic medicals, certifying fitness, maintaining records, ensuring statutory compliance, and guiding nursing staff in medical care and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to employees at the Occupational Health Centre (OHC).
• Handle medical emergencies, workplace injuries, and accidents; coordinate hospital referrals when required.
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, return-to-work, and statutory medical examinations.
• Certify fitness for duty, sickness absenteeism, and medical fitness as per statutory and company guidelines.
• Prescribe medicines and oversee clinical care provided by nursing/paramedical staff.
• Supervise OHC operations and guide nursing staff in treatment protocols and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate medical records, accident registers, and statutory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, ESI provisions, and Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules.
• Advise management on occupational health risks, ergonomics, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Plan and participate in health promotion activities such as health camps, vaccination drives, and wellness programs.
• Coordinate with hospitals, diagnostic centers, and external medical partners.
• Ensure availability and control of medicines, emergency equipment, and medical consumables at OHC.
