Nursing Staff is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients by assessing health conditions, administering medications and treatments, assisting doctors during medical procedures, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The requires strong clinical knowledge, compassionate patient care, and compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, and nursing standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, and other assigned units.
• Assess patients health conditions and monitor vital signs regularly.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and medical emergencies.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patient recovery and promptly report changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, treatment records, and patient charts.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge care.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and biomedical waste management protocols.
• Coordinate with doctors, allied healthcare professionals, and support departments for seamless patient care.
• Maintain nursing equipment, supplies, and ward readiness.
• Participate in shift handovers, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Support NABH accreditation, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
