Job summary

INAMDAR MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL in Pune is seeking a Ward Nursing Incharge to oversee nursing care, patient assessment, medications, procedures and emergency response.

You will manage staffing, ensure patient safety, maintain documentation, and coordinate with doctors and management to run the ward smoothly. The role requires B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent, valid registration, and relevant clinical experience.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
• Relevant clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Supervision: Supervise nursing care, patient assessment, medication, procedures, and emergency response.
• Staffing: Prepare duty rosters, allocate staff, monitor attendance, workload, and competency.
• Patient Safety: Ensure fall prevention, medication safety, identification, handover, and incident reporting.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate nursing records, charts, care plans, and shift handovers.
• Infection Prevention: Ensure hand hygiene, PPE, biomedical waste segregation, isolation, and aseptic practices.
• Quality & NABH: Implement hospital policies, SOPs, audits, indicators, corrective actions, and NABH standards.
• Coordination: Coordinate with doctors, other departments, patients/attendants, and hospital management for smooth ward functioning.

• Fall-risk and pressure-injury-risk patients
• Infection-control and hand-hygiene compliance
• Nursing documentation
• Emergency trolley/Crash Cart readiness
• Medical equipment functionality
• Ward cleanliness and environmental safety
• Consumables, linen, and stock availability
• Patient/attendant complaints
• Incident/near-miss reporting
• Shift handover quality
