Job summary

HLFPPT is seeking an Emergency Medical Dispatcher to manage emergency calls, perform triage, and coordinate ambulance deployment through the Command Centre. The role requires precise data collection, rapid decision-making, and close liaison with hospitals and field responders to ensure timely patient handover.

The successful candidate will follow established EMT protocols, maintain detailed records, and escalate time-critical incidents as needed to protect patient lives and ensure coordination

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess emergency calls and collect incident and patient data.
• Conduct preliminary triage and identify life-threatening cases needing immediate intervention.
• Coordinate deployment of the nearest ambulance and monitor its response via GPS.
• Maintain continuous communication with ambulance teams and field responders until handover.
• Provide basic emergency medical guidance within EMT scope and approved protocols.
• Recognise and escalate major trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological and other time-critical emergencies.
• Coordinate with hospitals for patient referral and emergency admission as required.
• Coordinate with NHAI personnel, police, highway patrol and toll plaza teams during major incidents.
• Maintain accurate incident, deployment, response-time, hospital referral and case-closure records.
• Prepare shift-wise reports/MIS and ensure proper handover of pending or critical cases.
• Immediately escalate mass-casualty incidents, critical cases, delayed response, hospital/ambulance constraints and other significant events.
• Follow NHAI/HLL SOPs, emergency protocols, confidentiality requirements and quality standards.
