Qualifications

• Care delivery skills including patient assessment and pain management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hypothermia and perform endotracheal and oral suctioning.
• Initiate intravenous and central lines as needed.
• Manage emergency procedures and administer protocols for emergencies.
• Evaluate and respond to critical lab values per protocol.
• Explain admission criteria and discharge process to patients.

Job description

Care Delivery

• Demonstrate clinical competence in all aspects of patient care.
• Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and assess the impact of nursing intervention as appropriate.
• Assessment and reassessment of pain and management of pain
• Ensure compliance with all policy and procedure for medication management.
• Explain plan of care to patient and family.
• Document all patients records as per policies and standards.
• Educate patient and family as required
• Ensure the involvement of the patient, family and significant others in the patient's care.

Quality Management

• Monitor clinical and other established performance indicators to ensure ongoing quality Improvement.
• Follow international patient safety goals.
• Report all near miss, sentinel events and any other incidents.
• Always maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Comply with all quality standards as decided by organization for patient safety and quality of care

Training and Development

• Participate and contribute in scheduled in service training programs like ACLS, BLS, PALS, NALS (If applicable), CNEs, conferences etc.,

Functional Area Responsibility

• Evaluate Hypothermia and perform Endotracheal suctioning and oral suctioning.
• Perform emergency procedures like stomach wash, lavage etc.,
• Initiate Intravenous lines and Central lines.
• Knowledge on PPE, PEP, NSI, and nursing management.
• Administration of emergency drugs as per protocol.
• Demonstrates knowledge on critical lab values.
• Evaluation of snake bite as per protocol.
• Manage Narcotics and High alert medication.
• Comply with protocols, procedures and safety policies.
• Specialize in assessing, intervening and stabilizing emergencies.
• Explain about admission criteria and discharge process.
